Okay so. Today Kate and Em came over and we bach doubled ourselves out. We sounded good though IMO. Concert is on saturday, and sarah and I invited ourselves over to the Millars' for a possible sleepover on friday. :)

I was on Sarah's computer today for like two hours teaching myself how to edit photos in GIMP. that was fun. I fooled around with colors a lot and I turned a yellow airplane PINK!!! It was pretty much the coolest airplane ever MADE.

what the hell, one of my suggested tags was "airplane dance." Okay, wheerreee did that come from, I didn't even write "dance" once in my whole entry.

My concerts are done, except for this little homeschoolers recital that doesnt' really count. I'm happy...I spent the weekend at the Millars' but I already wrote about that in my xanga blog. Look there if you want to know about it, I don't feel like typing it again. I'll just say that we sound awesome on Bach Double ("if i do say so myself"). I just downloaded the oldest of old Mozilla browser that I never could have believe existed, so now I can go on mindsay alllll the timmmeeee!!! Nope, you're not rid of me yet. I don't have very much to say...next time I go to gamestop or EB I'm so buying Wind Waker. It r0x0rs your b0x0rs. I got the Millars' unstuck in it, because of a little technique that involves googling a few choice keywords (cough wind cough waker cough walkthrough cough). I like it better than Majora's Mask. Hiding under barrels is a new technique that rox. :) signing out...

Well I'm bored at home yet again, as my mom is out of town and my dad's always busy. But we're going to the cottage later. This morning I went to the fathers day pancake breakfast at the flying club, and of course forgot that I didn't make my dad a card. So I ate pancakes, sausages and potatoes till I felt sick and nearly threw up. But it was good while it lasted. (the food I mean.) Then I uhh...came home and have been here ever since. Nothing to say...again... Lets see. Tomarrow I have...nothing...and the next day...nothing. Then nothing, nothing, nothing, recital, nothing. This is going to be a boring week..... Call if you want to come over.....you're welcome to it. =P Once again, it's 5:00 and my dad said he would be back by 4:30. *sigh* Well maybe I'll go and practice some more Napoleon Dynamite dance moves (j/k).

We all (me my dad and sarah) just had a camp fire outside and roasted hot dogs, which we haven't done in like 2 years. That was pretty fun. Lets see...yesterday I got Wind Waker. Kate, Em, Luke and Alta, I'm so gonna beat you guys. :) In one day, I got further then they did since Christmas. :P I cleared the whole Forbidden Wooods temple thingie but then I hit a glitch and the game froze. So now I have to do the whole damn thing over again. Our internet has been being a behindhead lately. So if I'm not online for like a day or two, don't panic or anything. :P okkayyyyyyyy I'm being really boring. As usual. Gotta go...byezerz

Hangin' at the cottage

Last night I went to the cottage and hung out with fam. Had a violent battle with david and sarah. Benj-Fu vs Dave-O...I forget what sarah called hers. I'm still applauding david over his "Paper towel roll to boob" move. Then we went inside and I got teased by my aunt belin. She said I looked retarded because I was so tired and my mouth was hanging open, which is not something she would normally say. As she put it, it's okay "within the confines of the family." Then for some reason I told them about the bobblehead thing so my new nickname is the Retarded Bobblehead, or RB. (we spent the evening making up stupid abbreviations. I siezed the moment to use some of my internet shorthands, including 'lol' and 'sthu.' but my dad's was best, 'qmusa.' quit making up stupid abbreviations.') Time to brag about wind waker. I already found all the pearls, and now I have to take some test of the gods or something. Em, luke and alta...you have NO CHANCE!!!! >:-D I'm going to eat, do laundry and stuff so I can play wind waker. cya later

Humpphhh...well today I had a great recital with em and kate, and we are finally DONE with bach double. I had fun while we were doing it but it was just starting to get slightly,....boring....at the end. On a lighter note... I'M GETTING AN IPOD SHUFFLE! I want to get it on monday, when the bank's open and before we leave town. (which is tuesday.) 512 MB of kickass! I'm also getting a car adapter, for the trip, and one of those little tape things that lets you play music through the speakers. That'll be flippin' sweet, can't wait. I just realized I had a crapload of money in my savings account from babysitting, so I can actually afford it. That'll be nice to have something to do on the trip, and me and my dad can listen to music while we're cruisin' around indiana and wisconson. SWEEEET! Okayyy......yeah. Wind Waker update: KICKING THE MILLARS' BUTTZ!!! :P lol j/k. well I am ahead, so I guess not "j/k". My mom just got back in town, so finally we're one happy fam-uh-leeee again. Except only for three days because shes staying home while we leave, lol. Trip will be fun with a soundtrack. Aight I'm going now. Well I just found out that I'm not going all the way to Appleton Wisconson with my dad next week after all. I'm just driving up with him and sarah, visiting his family in indiana etc etc. then dropping sarah off in Chicago. Then driving home. So there's not quite as much driving as I thought. I hope hope hope that wherever we go, they have that car adapter compatible for ipod shuffle. I might have to order it in which case I won't be able to bring it on my trip. Well I better go pace around till my mom takes me to the mall. Too bad I can't drive. Well see everyone in a coupla weeks!!! p.s. hope the party's rockin' and rollin' :)

I finally got my shuffle! It's not 512MB, it's actually 1GB. I got a power adapter and a car thing where you can play your ipod through speakers of your car. It totally rulez. I have 51 songs already but that's only because it's from my last iPod. :P K well I g2g now, listen to some more tunes. Anybody have some suggestions for what I should put on it? (Mollie I know you're gonna say stones. I already know that but I don't have any stones yet... :P )

Well I'm back. sooo much driving it sux...well I had fun. the festivities included rocking out to Can't Touch This on my iPod with my 7-year old cousin, shooting cows, and skunking my grandpa fishing. Good times, good times. I did a little biking because Indiana has absolutely no hills that slope more than 5 degrees upwards. Institute is only a week away. how x-iting. So tomorrow is my iPod's one week anniversary, which is when my last one got smashed, so tomorrow I'm locking my iPod in a safe for the day. Taking NO CHANCES! See everyone later. Yesterday I went to Stefan's and we had a jolly good time. I kicked his butt in Halo (not) and I kicked his butt in basketball (not). The night before that I went with my dad to the Flying Club and they were having this movie night thing. So they had a big screen hanging down in the hangar and we watched Top Gun and ate popcorn and stuff. It was cool especially with "surround sound" (a.k.a. other airplanes taking off and landing behind us) and was really fun. The movie's great. Its funny when Maverick is all flirting with this girl then she turns up the next day as his flight instructer. :P Yeah well, it was cool. I'm finally becoming a citizen of the United States and reading The da Vinci Code. Its really good so far. I guess I'll go now. See David, Kate, Em, (Luke?) week 1 complete

sigghh...week 1 of the institute is already over. boy did it go fast too...one more week to go! I'm looking forward to next week. the concert was great today except yesterday I got a cold so I had trouble singing in chorus, which, by the way, was realllyyy embarresing...if you saw it you know what I mean. Orchestra was good except for that stupid "jiggle your feet, wiggle in your seat" part...argh! It was a great week, getting in trouble for ringing the bell in the elevator, eating way too much candy and ho hos (lol, only once), hanging with friends except at 2:30 when they DITCHED me going to the pool...=p OMG you should've seen Emerson today. its like everyone in our classes just now noticed her. today she was stuck in a crowd of giggling girls the whole concert and orchestra rehersal, completely fawning over her..."I love your freckles; your smile is so cute; omg look at her hair, its so prreeetttyyy..." geez. =P Well, I guess I'll go eat dinner. I'd write more about the institute but I'm too hungry...maybe I'll write another entry later.

well as usual, the institute is going great. The odd thing about this year though, is that I haven't really made new friends, I'm mostly hanging out with people who I see year-round anyway. There doesn't seem to be any more dumb music in orchestra this week (thank GOD) but chorus is not looking good. between ANOTHER african song with a drum in the background, and the 3rds (my part) going "ga SHOON ga! ga SHOON ga!" in the middle of the piece, and having to march in place to the beat.... seriously, I'm only doing chorus this week because ms. stewart is counting on me as a strong singer. rep is good, we're doing a pretty cool piece, 5th Air Verie or something. It's fun, but there's no chance in hell that we're going to be able to memorize it by tomorrow. well at least, for me there's not... I suppose I should go practice. so long, farewell, bug out

I'm getting contacts today! They're the kind that keep your eyes from changing, so my eyes won't get worse anymore, if I wear these enough. You'll just have to get used to me without glasses, I don't look THAT weird....do I? My friends Max & Sam from pittsburg just left. They got here monday night and stayed till this morning. We had a jolly good time. We played Soul Calibur 2 & F-Zero (props to david :-D ) and watched Rush Hour 2 twice. It's now Max's favorite movie. I g2g to my eye appointment soon. It's a pretty weird feeling being able to see without the frames of glasses around your eyes. (I tried them on at my appointment on monday. They're awesome by the way.) Well next time I see everyone, most likely I won't have glasses. @#@~!!!{B}!!!~@#@

I got a sweet pac-man shirt yesterday. It was a size large so it was so crazy huge on me, but I wanted it anyway. It shrunk like 3 sizes in the wash too, so it kind of fits. I also got contacts yesterday. It's easy to take them out but kind of hard to put them in. If you don't get them in right its a huge pain in the butt. After I get calluses (sp?) on my eyelids, I will supposedly not feel them at all. Untill then, though, they hurt lots. I'm going to the Millars' later, so that's cool. They can see my new look. :)

I haven't written in my blog for a while, so I figured it was time for a new update, just so everyone has something new to read! Today I went to David's and discovered Marble Blast Gold. :D Then came home and here I am. I'm going to the cottage later for dinner. I played Soul Calibur 2 earlier and beat like 3 chapters. \/\/007 for me. Tomorrow Max & Sam are coming again, this time with their dad, so maybe we'll watch Rush Hour 2 again. I haven't played violin practically at all since the institute. I guess that's okay since I don't have anything I need to practice for. maybe in a week or two...... Em and Luke, you guys better be having fun in B.C.....come home soon! :( That was my entry, the end.

Well I just heard from my mom that I might be going to mexico because keelin can't go (¡¡¡¡¡¡¡OMGOMGOMGI'IMREPLACINGKEELIN!!!!!!!!!). That would be awesome!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I can get a passport in time though, it usually takes 4-6 weeks and it's 4 weeks away. Its so friggen exciting!

I don't have much else to say. computer camp starts monday, I hope its fun! If its too boring though, I'll have my own computer station so I could either sneak in starcraft or just go online and IM people.

I dunno if I've mentioned but my uncle Chris is having a wedding on the 21st. I got a sweet suit and tie, which is awesome. I'll have to practice my Napoleon Dynamite moves. ;D

I've been hanging at the cottage a lot. I went up twice today and swam 3 times, half-boated(the engine died you see- but we were mercifully rescued by a passing boat) and fished and hung out. Played "harry potter" with my little cousins too. I kept trying to drown myself in the "water" (rug) but they kept on pulling me back out...

I'm listening to Feel Good inc. by the Gorillaz. It's flippin' sweet. if you don't have it download it now.

Computer camp starts the day after tomorrow, and theres a naturalization ceremony that I'm playing at on thursday. (Em, if you're going to that can you give me a ride?)

Well I'm home, and I've decided I like weddings.

Y'all should've seen me dancing, I set the party on fiah!!!! It was rockin. It was funny dancing with my little cousins. The big highlight was slow dancing with david, j/k.(well I really did dance with him but it wasn't exactly the highlight.)

The actual ceremony was about 10 minutes long, then there were drinks etc. dinner sucked cuz I wasn't feeling good. Buuuttttt, it was good fun, I got to sit at the same table as Chris and Min who, by the way, were the ones getting married.

Our hotel was awesome. It had friggen HEATED TOWEL RACKS. LOL.

Well at ITE today Pam asked me how many people I had told that she almost left Alta at ITE the other day. I said nobody, and she said "so you didn't write about it in your blog?" So of course, now I just HAVE to.

So, anyways....Pam almost left Alta at ITE! =O

Mexico is in 3 days!!!! Can't wait.
My mom says me and Em should practice our signatures on the plane. =p

My audition went pretty well today, except during the sight reading it sounded all funky and it was kind of too easy, so my suspicion (sp?) is that I was in the wrong key.

But what's she gonna do? Kick me out of orchestra? I think not.

OMG! MEXICO WAS FRICKEN AWESOME!

I have so much to say so just sit back and relax....

The plane trip was long, but I guess you could call it fun. The longest one, Em was across the isle and Pam was between us so we were attempting to throw notes when the stewardesses weren't in the way. (p.s. I know stewardesses isn't what they're called anymore but it's the longest word in the english language that you type with your left hand only, try it.) It didn't really work. It was fun travelling with my mom, Jen and my grandpa too. We all had meals and stuff together.

We got there and went to our hotel/house/place. It was run by this guy named "Jesus" (hey-soos) and the only English he knew was "mah name, Jesus! Mah name, Jesus!" and he kept on doing it every time we got into the house untill we started saying "Hola, Jesus!" Instead of just hola. Then he seemed happy. He couldn't figure out our names by how we were saying them, so he had us write them down. "Ohh, Benyamin! Em-air-sahn!" (a.k.a. chikita bonita) He's a great guy. Our actual room was teh awesomeageness. I have pictures, maybe when I get a chance I'll put them on my photo album.

Every day we ate at the same resaurant (well, almost all the time) where the people were really nice. They learned that we needed the English menus, and they taught me how to wear my sombrero te right way.

Sleeping SUCKED. Cannons, bells, dogs, kids playing soccer against the wall of our hotel at 1 in the morning (AMERICANO! AMERICANO!), and ROOSTERS. God, the damned friggen ROOSTERS. Well more the damned friggen EVERYTHING THAT MADE A SOUND DURING THE NIGHT, That was that bad part. Well, that and the 106 steps to get to classes. That part sucked too.

We played in the plaza a couple of times, and it was really fun. We made 316 pesos, which is about 31 dollars in the U.S. except a dollar goes a really long way there, aka 1 dollar per hour for internet cafe. (10 pesos.) The first day we did it we had kids crowded around us by the end, and we were trying to convey to them that we had a concert "manana noche" (tomorrow night) at "ocho." I think they got it but none of them came. :-/

I had some good mexican food, but mostly I ate american. I had this soup that tasted all funky but it was all right, some tacos with this really good steak or something in it, and chicken enchiladas with CACTUS in it. That was the night I got sick, most unfortunately, not horribly but it still sucked. The food was good except for the cactus. The ribs were really good too..... :-D

The whole city is awesome. It's so colorful and pretty. The streets are so small and the sidewalks are about 2 feet wide. When a truck turns a corner its bumper comes within about an inch from scraping into the houses. Scary O.o

I actually got Maddie a sombrero, as a joke (I told her in an email, "I'm going to mexico, I'll bring you back a sombrero," so I decided I really would) and I had to wear it the whole trip home since it wouldn't fit in my suitcase. People kept looking at me and saying "bien mexicano!" and stuff like that. It only cost 140 pesos which is 14 dollars. I'm going to give it to her on saturday. Plus, she's the kind of person who would actually wear it every saturday at IC.

Friday night we went to this really nice resaurant that used to be the president of Mexico's house, but since I wasn't feeling good I had saltine crackers for dinner. It was awesome. It was right up near the statute of Pipila (aka Benjamin Franklin) which I also have pictures of.

Then there was Marco Polo....he was so cuuuuuuuuuuuutttteeeee!

I'm getting really hungry and I know I have more to write about, but I'm not inthe mood. Call me!

An overdue entry

It's been a while. Miss me? I didn't think so. I thought I should write something just so you guys have something to read.

Lets see.....this lady that my mom's teacher training is staying with us. Her name's Jenny....shes from BC. So today I had a lesson that went over an hour, which sucked majorly. Hopefully by next lesson I'll be done with la folia, yays!

Tour group was tEh awesomeageness, but also pretty hard. One of the pieces I could basically sight read, the other two I er, couldn't. But it was fun anyways, and in my lesson today my grandpa gave me Fiddle Faddle! woohoo!

I'm looking forward to playing at the apple festival, and also Luke spending the night on sunday. It'll be fine and dandy. So it'll be a cool weekend.

so we just had the second Variety Show. It was awesome. Once again I was photographer and she had me stand up while everyone clapped. *blush*

I played the Telemann with Em which was awesome, then Teal played with Finn on bongos and Arlo on bass. They sounded great too. Connor played his Bumble Boogie (of course) and Alta played the Adagio by Marcello (the uh-dag--as in dagger---ee-oh by Marsello according to Wiatt (sp..?)

I don't have much else to say, except I'M NOT SELLING PHOTOS THIS YEAR. It's soooo much nicer because I just skipped some of the kids, and WHO CARES?! Last year I was completely freaked because I missed one of the kids. Lisa Cappello's daughter...... :-O Luckily Lisa didn't want photos so it didn't matter.

So if some other national magazine wants my photos then thats fine, or any newsletter or whatever. Other than that, nothing. Ha HA! (*Kate-style hand wave*) =D

I'm just updating my blog for no reason at all. I'm just getting bored of Pludunka being the only person who updates her blog frequently. (hint hint everyone)

I just beat Manchester United on Professional in FIFA, yay!

I'm almost out of candy. Just some dumdums left.....sniff I've been constantly sugar high for the last two weeks...

Yesterday writing class was actually fun and I liked what I wrote for once. Then GDIAC was a complete waste of time as usual, I'm going to see if I can transfer to Teal's group so I'll actually be doing something.

Tour group is awesome, its a challenge but its really fun. We're playing at the Johnson Art Museum on December 11th, and weee willl weee willll ROCK YOU!!! so you better be there! we also have a 2 hour rehearsal at Longview on Saturday which really sucks because Longview is always SOO FRICKEN HOT and its going to be miserable. But oh well.

Okay so I was sick for a day....I got this crappy flu....I won't go into much detail just to spare you guys but it was not fun. Then I woke up this morning and felt like a new person. BOOO FRICKEN YAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm still not completely healed, but I'm a lot better.
And yes, I will probably be going to orchestra in the morning, quick set up a quarentine!

Saturday I'm probably going to Harry Potter for the second time with em and luke....then I'm having thanksgiving. I have all this crap to do for writing. I have to read a book, make a 'zine, interview strangers to "learn how to be a journalist," make that into a story, type it, and type the one from last week. Whatever happened to goddamn vacations?!

I didn't get nearly enough sleep last night, then I had a 3 hour Tour Group rehearsal. Then Emerson came over and we rehearsed Florida music for another hour and a half. It was actually a really fun day, but right after Em left I felt like I was going to fall asleep. Maybe I will....

Home again home again! Florida was AMAZING!!! Emerson and I had our own recital which was incredible, and I think we did great (if I do say so myself). I have stories to tell, that I don't feel like telling, so gimme a call or something. Well, anyways....the kids were in awe, and I think we were really an inspiration to them. I signed 7 autographs, got flowers, had my picture taken with some kids, and got COUNTLESS compliments.

It was the most awesome thing, even though the weather was kind of crummy. Things could have been worse.

I'm not in the mood to write all about my trip in my blog, plus you guys will probably just get jealous, so.... you get the point.
